A better world....

Well, I know I am too young for worrying about the manner in which the world works. But, this is neither a general statement nor a thoughtless remark. I have been thinking of this, i.e. when we speak the same language, can express ourselves well, there are so many means of communication; then why? why is it so difficult to understand each other?

The basic problem according to me is,
"Everybody thinks they are the smartest"; simply the best. They have got the perfect way of dealing with problems and that their way is the best way. No-one wants to put their feet down, respect others opinions, and once in a while, mend their ways. If someone listens to you once, then you become the hero, the problem-solver, the person who knows the best. So, next time, even if that person doesn't need your "advice", you can go and influence them some-more, then you can officially flaunt around that you have the "experience". Nice, very nice i must say....

And not only for solving problems, for organizing anything, anywhere opinion is required, people think they are the boss. And if others put their feet down, they become the underdogs. Even worse, if they don't put their feet down, they become not-so-co-operative. I look at such situations and smile to myself. There is nothing wrong about this. Its a persons nature, to impose, to give-up, to stand and do nothing. But I think we need to consider others feelings/opinions and give-up sometimes. Take a mid-way; compromise; encourage others; give kind words, not advice; help the whole group; be the team binder, not the leader...

This might help the world be more friendly, more approachable, more appreciative...
Togetherness, Brotherhood, Co-operation, Sharing will lead to Success, Sportsmanship, Love, Peace and harmony, and thus, happiness...All it takes is some effort from all of us.

For me, the better world has less inter-communal tensions and less hatred among people. If this is the way to archive it, then be it.....

Before I being, let me say, this was an awesome post from you. I liked it extremely.
It was honest and it was very you.

Be prepared for a long one, because this is a seriously puzzling topic for me:

I feel that you should love your enemies. Not love in the benevolent sense, but love in an accepting sense. The reason being that if it weren't for these very people, your identity wouldn't be defined. If everybody were what you wanted them to be, how could you be what you are?

Thus, broadening our perspective to fit in the whole world, we again see that our identity is due in part to the fact that the world contains some elements that we don't like. Would you now really wish that the world be what you want to be? Wouldn't it be boring then? :D

But now let's come to the flipside: Yes, the world has problems. Why? because it isn't progressing in a direction which helps humanity as a whole. There are people out there who hamper the progress of their own species, just because of personal prejudices (like religion, caste). So we would like the world to change. But if it changed in that direction, people would start opposing that itself and again want change in some other direction. That is humanity, in essence displaying the rule of nature: Change is essential.

So you see, I'm caught in an infinite vortex, a dilemma. Do I want a better world? Do I not?

If it weren't for people who impose themselves upon others, your thoughts against them wouldn't have been formed.

And in a way, by wanting others to not impose themselves on others, you are basically imposing your wish.

I guess the best way is to keep following your principles. Dont impose them, even if you want to. Just follow them. Stay true to yourself.
Surprisingly, people will get imposed by you then.
(This was something Gandhiji followed, and boy, you know it worked)
I'll quote him here:
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

(By the sound of the above comment it might look like I'm imposing, but that never was my intention. I was just expressing my views)

The better world is not just the way i want it. It shall be better in the proper sense when everyone is free to do what they want, only in the constructive sense of course.

U are caught in confusion coz u r considering both sides of the coin simultaneously. By asking people not to impose themselves, i am just wanting to be myself. Take my decisions. Still, people who impose will never give up, and people who get influenced will never stop seeking people who impose. Its like symbiosis for them, and this is the way the world works.

I don't want to influence anyone, its their choice what they want to choose. And your comment goes has an awesome flow to it, i loved it..thanks a ton!

Well, at the end of the day, our views are kinda similar, not same, but very similar...

for starters that was a sarcastic remark....i respect my mom a lot....the reason ive commented in a manner as such was pretty simple...

ive no idea why ......i read the post and thats the first thing that
hit me....i no its weird but its true..

and if ur asking for a honest and a serious reply here it goes.....
if ur asking for world peace....this world will suck...
if u dont face certain things u will never know how to overcome them...

i honestly dont want everyone to be friendly.....
imperfection ...ironically...is gods gift to mankind....thats too philosophical ...but hell it makes sense...

Firstly, don't apologize for anything. These international bands keep declaring anything and keep changing their minds, its ok, all you wanted to do is make people aware of the possibility. And that aint harmful.

Also, I apologize if i sounded rude, but i didn't completely understand your previous post. So, that question was more out of curiosity, no offense.

And lastly, I never said i want the whole world to be friends with each other. Even if it might look like that, according to me, there is a basic mis-communication even between who are important to you. So, if we begin with the mentioned virtues in our small way [read world], it shall help the world as the whole.
No-one can go stop riots, over-friendliness is fake. Imperfection is necessary as it is a part of the human nature, all I want to say is, treat the samne-wala person[friend/foe/a part of your world], the way you would want to be treated by them.

Confusions might persist, discussion is open. Sarcasm is appreciated, thought is acknowledged.

Cheers!
